We are seeking a Team Lead Intensive Transition Specialist-Mental Health Professional for the PRS Community Readiness Support Program (CRSP) who is committed to enhancing our clients' independent living and interpersonal skills and preparing clients to return to work, school or volunteer placements through group training in a day program in Fairfax County.

This position will assist the CRSP Manager in the day-to day running of the program, manage a caseload and assist Manager in reaching program's goals and performance targets.

  • What are the work hours? Is the schedule flexible? This is a full-time, 40 hours/week position, Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm or 8:30am 4:30pm in Fairfax County Staff must be able to facilitate groups and meet with clients during the program hours, and the schedule is not flexible. 
  • What is the rate of pay? We pay a competitive starting salary high $40's or more, depending on experience.

  • Do the classes have a curriculum? Yes, an evidence-based curriculum is established for all groups and is used to guide facilitation. This is a structured, team environment. Stakeholder feedback is used to ensure curricula are updated, current, evidence-based, activity-oriented, and interesting to the clients! 
  • Do I receive training? Staff receive training through a variety of modalities, including shadowing/observing group facilitation and completion of other job duties, direct on-the-job coaching from supervisor, twice monthly supervision meetings and  formal training opportunities. 
  • What characteristics do I need to be successful in this job? Are you empathetic? Can you make sound decisions under pressure? Are you well organized? Can you work as part of a team, and work independently under minimal supervision? Are you able to meet tight deadlines such as getting to work on time or completing accurate and timely clinical documentation? Do you have effective interpersonal and written communication skills? Do you enjoy facilitating groups? If so, you might be perfect for the Transition Specialist role! 
  • What qualifications are required? Qualified Mental Health - Adults (QMHP-A) is required.  Will consider QMHP-Trainee.
